Site Update

Hello, for those of you that don't know me, I'm Kris and I'm the webmaster / founder / dictator here at StarcraftLive.net.
It's been a long time since a news post and a long time since the content of this website has been updated. Long story short, keeping up to date on news is hard and keeping the website up to date is even harder still. It takes a lot of time to cultivate a website like this... you have to be timely or no one cares and it takes a good deal of time to keep up with all the news. Performing such tasks myself has proven to be impossible given my busy schedule and general hatred of reposting news and cropping screen shots.
While Grunt, alethioS, and others have done a great job in my absence (or perhaps I have done a poor job in their absence), their lives too have taken them in different directions. And that has left StarcraftLive.net in a general sense of disrepair.
It is sad it has come to this (especially since in early days we received numerous comments, including one from Blizzard themselves about the high quality of news and timeliness of said news posted here). Just because you don't see updates now though does not mean this site is done. Far from it...
What direction StarcraftLive.net takes next is still undecided, but the site will rise again.
In the mean time, myself and several past contributors to this website frequent the forums at ForumsX.net if you ever want to say "Hi" or join in some lively conversations.
You may also want to check out some of the games for Xbox Live Indie Games that I am personally creating at Fun Infused Games. While certainly not of the high quality or depth of Blizzard's games, I still like to think they're enjoyable.s

Looking for Poll Ideas

Hello all... I may follow Starcraft 2 closely, but one thing that's not my bag is coming up with great new poll ideas (as you maybe have noticed by the fact that they change so infrequently). That's why I'm making a call out to you, the readers of StarcraftLive. If you've got an idea for a poll you'd love to see run on this site, by all means let me know! You can either email me at webmaster@starcraftlive.net or leave them in the comments for this news.
I look forward to hearing your suggestions. And if you have ideas beyond just polls, let me know those too!m

XML Feed on Starcraft Live

I just wanted to point out two things with our XML feed here on the site. First off, it hasn't been working right since the switch over to the new layout. Worry no more, the feed is back up and running at the same URL it always was and will continue to be updated as the site is updated. Anytime we save or update news on the site, our news feed is instantly updated.
Second, I just wanted to point out that we have an XML feed (in case you haven't figured that out yet). Click here for details on what an XML/RSS feed is and how to subscribe.

The New Face of Starcraft Live

Welcome to the new look StarcraftLive.net. We've not only revamped the look of the site but we've moved to more reliable hosting too. The site if functionally very similar, but it was quite a big move to change everything over. Community Section Released.

Blizzard recently released their own fansite :D It's a community section addition to starcraft II's home page. While the updates seem to be lagging behind a bit, some exclusive content is likely to be released on this site. You can check it out here. Karune also had this to say: This community page has been created to be a launching pad for the future community projects I have planned. BlizzCast, Q&As, Monthly Discussions, Community Spotlights, the Fan Site Program, and 'future projects' (which there are still many in production) will be hosted here. Feel free to keep tabs on this page for StarCraft II specific community updates. Expect us to keep a close eye on this page, and for us to notify you whenever new content goes up. :)n.ru/t

Starcraft Live Goes Live

Welcome all to the all new StarcraftLive.net. StarcraftLive was founded to cover the inevitable release of Blizzard's grand opus, Starcraft 2. The site will be manned by a number of talented peons that once ran the successful Warcraft 3 website War3.com. We sincerly hope you will come back often to keep up to date on the latest rumors and speculation revoling around Starcraft 2.
